It is often said the quality of a book is often judged by the reviews it gets, But I believe it is the writing that makes it stand on its own so high. This is the debut book of the author Udai Yadla. An Engineer by education and Writer by passion.
A walk in the rain is a love story with revenge, love lost and the second chances they get. A roller coaster ride of emotion. That is what I felt when I completed the novel.
I am a huge fan of debut Indian Authors, Maybe because there is freshness in the way of narrating when compared with that of those predictable authors.
I love it when debut authors excel our expectation of them.Last year has completely changed my views on my old views about debut authors.I have discovered a lot of debut authors. Udai Yadla is one of them.A genius with words and perfectly blended storyline. Utmost care is taken for detailing each and every character and their relation to the main character.
In one single line, It can be described as a perfect blend of romance, thrill and adventure.
Initial pages are just describing the characters and how each and everyone is related to the main character. If you start reading the novel without reading the back cover you will never come to understand who the main character is until the second half.
The story revolves around Sunny and Saloni, but as I said before it will take some time to find this thing out.The characters are so beautifully narrated we feel them real. As with the flow of narration, you will feel like watching a movie.
Sunny aka Surya is the topmost coder in his company(IT profession). He never made any friends in there. He had a close group of friends from his school days who called him Sunny.
Sunny had a difficult childhood. His mother died when he was born.He never got the motherly love.He was an introvert in his school days.Never made any friends until the day when a girl named Sandhya became his friend. But soon he loses her when he needed her the most.He still misses her and hopes she will soon come back to his life.
Saloni is a strong lady, but a prostitute by fate who needs money for her mother’s operation.
There are two other important characters Sam and Pooja. Pooja is another Prostitute Saloni meets at the brothel.Sam is some guy with whom Pooja plays pranks with.
The story begins when one of his friend Imran takes him to a Brothel as a Birthday gift. There he meets Saloni, Imran is a guy who loses his temper easily and gets into fights very often. There happened to be a fight between a guy named Hari and Sunny inside the brothel. Imran was forced to beat Hari when he saw Hari beating his friend Sunny.Due to fate, Hari stabs Imran and he loses his life.
The rest of the story is Sunny taking revenge on Hari and Saloni helping him coz she needs money and indirectly taking revenge on Hari for ruining her life.
The story is said from a different perspective. There are lot of suspense and thrillers in it. Each page you read the more you are glued to the story.I definitely loved the book.It has a lot of subplots and characters which may confuse the reader in the beginning but they are perfectly joined together.
This won’t be suitable for you if you are looking for a usual office or college romance.
If you like romantic thrillers then you must go for this one. Join them in their adventure.
